All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

(Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Burmese)

No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.

Article 9:

Those who have the kindness of benefit for others

For the sake of living beings, do not relax their powers.

Though these holy beings bear a heavy burden,

They never put it down and dwell in discouragement.

*the Great Chariot Sutra*

Burma is known as a golden land made of several ranges (or ‘Yoma’ in Burmese) where thousands of tribal memories, wisdoms, religions, cultures and beauties of plants and animals dwell. The rivers, all of them are indeed important to the people and other existences, snake through these beautiful mountainous regions and flow from the north to the south where Indian Ocean is. The peoples, Burma has 103 ethnics, all of them used to be really generous and all they knew was to give.

Since the modern day’s dictators have systematically destroyed, now the golden land is famous for its narcotic trades, refugees, migrant workers and various atrocities and sufferings.

One day, we’ll be free again and the land will be again famous for its beauty.

DEMO-CRACY

DEMO-CRACY & DEMO-CRAZY

democracy is peoples' power to give shared responsibility to their representative... to manage their welfare and general civil services ... for the peace and prosperity of their society which they can share with each others fairly and squarely...

demo-crazy is the opposite of the above description empowered by the people themselves...

Still ASLEEP?! WAKE UP!

CAN WE BE POLITICALLY PRAGMATIC just for Burmese people?

AFGHAN WAR

people may talk
a lot
and their opinions matter
and they may get louder
and louder
though they know not how to fight a war...

in democracy and freedom of media,
overpowered lunacy and mania of speech may exist
overlooked reality is where normal brain cannot reach
but experience and pragmatism languish in the erosion of breezes...

Why does American and Nato war effort so weak although the US/they have invested billions $$$$, and lacking flexibility? Because ...
Do US soldiers need to suffer heavy loses? No!

The point is TIME... and EXPERIENCE ...
Americans and Nato can fight a war that wears down the Talibans. But they don't; instead they fight a FAST war for QUICK results ...

BEFORE Americans and Nato were there, Afghanistan was TALIBANISTAN
and now Afghanistan is AFGHANISTAN...
When the Americans and Nato leave, they should leave Afghanistan, not Talibanistan...

Fish Must Be In Water
Or It's Dead!

We all know the world is made of mistakes and corrections. Yet criticizing these mistakes, whoever doing that voluntarily, only invites criticisms and enemies whilst friends turn away. It’s always wise for individuals to avoid confrontation with the extremists from different societies. But in doing so, these societies get swallowed by fear mongers, power mongers and extremists. Perhaps these individual sacrifices are not recognized and not taken as directions although these sacrifices are significant and painful; however, the groups of extremists are seen as popular movements and recognized as directions.

Yes, there are extremists in every society. Many of them are for the causes of good too unfortunately. These extremists for better society may see everything is obstacles, every fight is a bad fight, every move is a bad move, every decision is a bad decision … and with that stance, they too fight in the terms of a better society in their views of what being good and what being bad and they fight against each others in ideological battles involving physical powers, divine powers and the powers of emotions.

We have wasted more than six decades being enemies. In the process, we have hurt ourselves at least as much, as we might have hurt the other side. It is time we change our ways, and give up the old habits.
Let us make friends, not enemies; peace, not war.

The Coming Age of New Unfreedom in Post-Communist States

The world is made of new generations who don't care how their ancestors tried to achieve freedom of the people. As Burma lost her freedom to the rise of a 19th C dictator, there were many countries around the world lost their freedoms to similar dictators...

and now that same history will repeat ...

The many martyrs gave their lives through enduring unforgivable unreasonable sufferings. For what they did that? They did that for humanity ... who are those humanity? The ones who commit suicide politically and economically! They learn but are also indifferent ...

As we struggle now, such struggles were just countless - there in the history of our ancestors but we are still not free. I sometimes find myself in the thought of the vanity of struggles...

Whether we achieve now or later, our next generations will certainly have to face their own struggles... then is our struggle actually the right way?

By sacrificing for ourselves, our prides and our beloved mankind, we go through different experiences that lead us to the realization of the reality of philosophical vanity.

As we claim we are doing for the good of humanity, we still have difficulty in dealing with everyday people we meet. When we try for the mass, when it comes to single individual, we are also concerned with emotions both good and bad. We cannot ultimately claim we sacrifice for everyone but only for mass in general. This is a weak point in general to achieve victory and everlasting peace.

The reality is peace doesn't exist outside the mind - religiously or philosophically reasoning.

As sacrifice for the mass, we forget our own individual freedom and we view such individual freedom is as though the freedom of the mass. But is it really so?

If the UN were to govern and manage the world as the central government, could UN govern and manage the world properly? By applying all UN's declaration of human rights, universal rights, and peace as ambition, is it possible for the UN?

My answer is ...

NO!
Because the world is not made of just geniuses but Fake Geniuses as well!

FREEDOM IS FOR EVERYBODY
BUT YOU MIGHT NOT NEED IT!
IF YOU'D LIKE TO KNOW IF YOU NEED IT
LIKE THOSE LIVING IN FREE-NATIONS,
GO and ASK YOUR GOVERNMENT and SOCIAL LEADERS...
LET THEM DECIDE YOUR DESTINATION!

Such things like rescuing the trapped miners is DEMOCRATIC
Such things like Not releasing Nobel Prize Winner is MILITARY DICTATORIAL & COMMUNIST
Such things like Stoning to Death is SHARIA

I like the relaxed students at study - this classroom has them. Such style of learning environment and condition are natural empowerment to young kids. If they also have this style of relaxation on street, at home and where they live, that's ideal.

I'm glad to hear the conversation...

This picture was taken during APEC summit in Sydney. Then China was directly supporting the Burma's military dictator and actively opposing any democratic development in Burma through the United Nations' engagement. China was so because it only saw economic opportunity in Burma - ASEAN was even worse then. China became the strongest supporter to the dictators as both human and natural resources (have been) flowing into China with all favour and there wildlife was also under heavy pressure - e.g. Tigers.

Making business is not what I mean by opposing the influence of China. But I think there should be some moderation. The balance is what keeps the prosperity to grow. What I oppose is killing the goose that lays the  golden eggs.
During that time, most political activists were opposing Iraq war and the Bush 's Americanism.
